MariAnne started dancing at 5 years old. At 7 years old, She took her first recreational class at Peace Love and Dance. She was on rec for one season, and then the following season she joined the competition program. She competed in Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Open and Hip-Hop. MariAnne danced with PLD for 5 years before leaving and taking a break. During her break, she tried out for her High School dance team and made varsity her freshman year at Lakeside High School. MariAnne eventually returned to Peace Love & Dance her last 2 years of high school to compete again. She was not only in award winning routines, she also partook in masterclasses and conventions, learning from top choreographers from around the world. MariAnne began assisting competitive and recreational classes at Peace Love and Dance and learned all the key components of being a teacher and how to take charge in the classroom. She is excited to be a part of the staff and share her love for dance with her students.

My daughter looks forward to dance class all week! Her teacher take the time each and every week to give each student individual attention and positive affirmation. The studio is small and has a family like atmosphere. Also, as a parent I appreciate how well they communicate what’s going on through email and their website. I find their email updates to be very helpful!
